Training
A complete strength toolkit: set log with RPE, week plans, templates and programs, lifetime records, strength and volume reports. Plus cardio with intervals and a muscle load map.
A session and a plan are the same thing
A planned workout and a completed workout are one object in two states in AIron.Coach. A session with a future date saves as planned; when you tick it off, it becomes completed. That is why the plan does not "disappear" after you finish it, and you can compare what was planned with what you actually did.
Logging a session
- Open Training and add a session. With the "+" button on the calendar, or from the home screen if the session is planned for today.
- Add exercises. Pick from the library or add your own. A custom exercise stays in your library.
- Save sets live. For each set: reps, load and RPE. You see rest time next to the set.
- Finish the session. Volume is totalled automatically, and lifetime records are detected when the set is saved.
Week calendar
The calendar is the main training view. You drag sessions between days to move them, select many at once and copy or delete them in bulk. There is also a list view if you prefer scrolling to looking at a grid.
Templates and programs
A template is a single session saved for reuse. A program is a multi-week plan with scheduled progression, which lays sessions onto the following weeks from a start date you pick.
You can save a calendar session as a template, and build your own program from a few weeks.
Import from a file
You can bring in workout history from a CSV file, from the calendar. There is no direct import from other training apps today, and we do not give a date for one.
Cardio
You log cardio in the same session as the gym work. You pick the type (run, bike, swim and others) and save intervals with distance, time and pace. You record heart rate on the interval if you measure it.
Reports and records
Reports show strength and volume over time, per exercise and per muscle group. On top of that, a muscle load map shows what is fatigued and what is ready to work.
Exercise goals have a deadline and a pace: you see not only how much is left, but also whether you will make it at the current rate.
Working with a coach
The coach sees your sessions and can comment on a specific workout. The conversation about the workout stays on the workout, instead of disappearing in chat. The coach can also edit your plan, but only if you granted that permission.
Common questions
Is there a cap on logged workouts or sets?
No, on any plan. The workout log has no entry cap and no lookback cap, including on Free.
How long a plan does AI generate?
It depends on the plan: 7 days on Free, 14 days on PRO and 30 days on ELITE. Generation uses AI credits. Plans you build by hand and from templates do not have this limit.
Do I have to mark lifetime records myself?
No. They are detected automatically when the set is saved.
Can I import history from Hevy, Strong or another app?
There is no direct import from those apps, and we do not promise a date. You can import history from a CSV file or enter sessions by hand.
Does the app calculate 1RM?
Reports show strength and volume over time, and lifetime records for an exercise. Progression is based on RPE logged with sets, not a max test.
Can I move a workout to another day?
Yes, by dragging it on the calendar. You can also select many sessions at once and copy or delete them in bulk.
