Athlete start
An athlete account is free and independent of a coach. You log workouts and meals, track progress and use AI proposals. You can add a coach later, or never.
Creating an account
- Open airon.coach in the browser. The app works on phone and on desktop. Android is in a closed beta for testers; there is no iOS app yet. On iPhone you use the browser.
- Sign in with a Google account. That is the only sign-in method. You do not create a separate password.
- Go through onboarding. You set units (kg or lbs), a goal and basic details. You pick units once: the whole app renders in your preference, and you can change that later in settings.
Your day in the app
The home screen collects today's session, meals and the day's energy in one place. From here you start a workout, add a meal and see whether you are on track.
First workout
- Open the Training tab. You will see the week calendar. A planned session has the status Planned, a finished one Done.
- Add a session. Use the "+" button in the corner of the calendar. You can start from an empty session, from a template or from a ready-made program.
- Pick exercises. Search the exercise library, or add your own if something is missing.
- Log sets live. For each set you enter reps, load and RPE. The app totals session volume as you go.
- Finish the session. Lifetime records are detected automatically on save. You do not have to mark them anywhere.
You log cardio in the same session. You pick the activity type (run, bike, swim) and save intervals with distance and pace. Details are on Training.
First meal
You log a meal in four ways: photo, barcode, description or a message to the Telegram bot. Photo and description analysis uses AI credits; a barcode scan and a manual entry do not.
The full write-up, including Telegram setup, is on Nutrition and Telegram.
Goals and progress
You set a goal on a specific exercise: for example reaching a given squat load, together with a deadline. The app shows not only the distance to the goal, but also whether your current pace is enough to make it.
With a coach or without
Without a coach, you approve AI proposals yourself. After you join a team, the coach also sees the proposal cards, and you get the plan in the same app you already log workouts in. The coach sees your sessions and can comment on specific workouts.
Ending a coaching relationship does not take anything from you. Your account, workout log, meals and history stay with you, still for free.
What you get for free
Free is not a trial and does not expire. There is no cap on logged sets or meals.

Common questions
Do I need a coach to use the app?
No. An athlete account is fully standalone. You log workouts and meals, and you use goals, reports and AI proposals with no coach at all. You add a coach when you want to.
Do I have to pay OpenAI or another AI model separately?
No. AI credits are included in the plan: Free has 5 per month, PRO 60, ELITE 300. You do not attach your own API key and you do not pay any model provider separately. If you need more, you buy a credit pack; purchased credits do not expire.
Does Free expire or wipe my history?
No. Free is not a trial, has no day counter and does not delete history. The workout and meal log has no entry cap and no lookback cap.
kg or lbs?
Both. You pick once in onboarding, and the whole app renders in your unit. You can change it later in settings.
Is there an iPhone app?
No. On iOS you use airon.coach in the browser. Android is in a closed beta for testers. The current state is always on Scope and roadmap.
Can I import history from Hevy or Strong?
There is no import from other apps today. We also do not give a date. We promise features only once they are in the product. You can enter sessions by hand or import from a CSV file.
What happens to my data when I stop paying?
Moving to a lower plan does not delete workouts, meals or history. Limits on new things change: for example file storage and the monthly AI credit pool.
